American Winds is an FAA Part 135 approved (Air Carrier Certificate #AYKA724K) private air charter company in Northeast Ohio. We are based at KAKR Akron-Fulton Airport in Akron, Ohio.

Our history
American Winds Charter was founded by our President & Chief Pilot Denise Hobart. Denise has been in aviation for more than 25 years, as a Commercial Airline Pilot, a Corporate Pilot, and an instructor with thousands of hours of experience training students. She is a nationally and regionally recognized business owner of an FAA approved Part 135 charter (Air Carrier Certificate #AYKA724K) and a flight school. She is a two-time recipient of Master Certified Flight Instructor accreditation from the National Association of Flight Instructors and an FAA Gold 5eal lnstructor.
